I am an advertising geek and a student of its history. I am ‘that guy’ who watches the Super Bowl and now even the Oscars not just for the spectacles themselves but those 30-second TV spots where advertisers spend millions of dollars to draw the consumer closer to their brand.
Graphic designers are always on the hunt for inspiration for their current projects. While our first instinct is usually to look at what our clients’ competitors are doing well, sometimes their competitors aren’t doing anything well! Or at least, they are not being innovative in the way they visually express their brand.
It is often said that Style is timeless and Trend is not; how much does this affect what we do at a creative agency?
My role is to provide support for the design and web teams: making sure there is paper and power, coffee and pencils, invoicing and payroll. But I see much of what is created here, and in my observation, balance is the key.
